Former Northern District Commander Named O.C.'s New Police Chief

The Northern District's former commander, Lt. Col. Ross Buzzuro, is taking his talent to the beach.

Buzzuro, who was promoted to a patrol commander in 2011, was named Ocean City’s chief of police, according to WJZ-TV.

He served as the commander of the Northern District for several years before being promoted, and replaced by Maj. Sabrina Tapp-Harper.

Northern District commanders going on to lead other police departments in the state is starting to become a trend.

Buzzuro’s predecessor in North Baltimore, Michael Pristoop, left that post to become the chief of police in Annapolis.
